Obituary: James Matthew Visser

December 27, 1958 - May 6, 2020

Age 61 years

Jim Visser died on May 6, 2020  after a long battle with cancer.  He was 61.

Jim was life-long Bronx resident, attending St. Philip Neri School, and Xavier High School in Manhattan, and New York University.  He went on to attain a law degree from New York Law School and was admitted to the New York Bar.  He was a Masonic Brother of Pelham Lodge #712, City Island, NY.

Jim was known by many friends and acquaintances as a fun-loving and funny guy.  He was always quick to offer a warm greeting, his company, and a humorous quip.  He will be missed.

He is survived by his wife Caroline (née Derosa), children James and Michelle, brothers Edwin “Ned” and John, and first wife Marie Lorraine “Sissy” (née Pipes).
